Age UK Manchester

A summer spent with The Cultivators – an Age UK gardening club in south Manchester.

This project was inspired by questions about the nature of “help”. I explored the ways in which people give, recieve and reciprocate help in their daily lives, focusing particularly on themes of reciprocity, friendship, community and gift exchange. My time with The Cultivators highlighted the importance of having welcoming places to go, meaningful things to do, and of being around people who know, value and listen to one another.
